The "Belt and Road" Intellectual Property and Innovation Development Research Institute of our university has been successfully designated as a key think tank, achieving the university’s first-ever municipal-level recognition for a new-type intellectual hub.

Established in March 2017 through a tripartite collaboration among the university, the Chongqing Municipal Intellectual Property Administration, and Queen Mary University of London, the institute has dedicated its efforts to focus on the research in the fields of theoretical framework of intellectual property with Chinese characteristics, international comparative studies of intellectual property laws and policies, and global scientific innovation cooperation alongside intellectual property transfer and commercialization. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in providing decision-making consultations for the Party and government, as well as driving high-quality development across industries and enterprises.
