Insisting on the scientific research orientation of "climbing to the highest, delving into the deepest, and marching towards the main battlefield", CQUT has established 53 scientific research and innovation platforms at the provincial and ministerial level and above, including the key laboratory, the engineering research center, the joint laboratory of international cooperation, and the provincial and ministerial collaborative innovation center of the Ministry of Education. It also has a number of scientific and technological service platforms such as the national university science park, making it one of the first batch of bases for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transfer in universities of the Ministry of Education, and a national intellectual property pilot university. Recently, CQUT has won four National Awards for Science and Technology Progress, one National Award for Technological Invention, one Gold Prize and one Excellence Award for China Patent, and 197 provincial (ministerial) awards. It has undertaken over 3,200 national and provincial-level projects, including national key R&D plan projects and development projects of national major scientific instruments, and has been granted 17 international invention patents and more than 940 valid national invention patents. The amount of patent conversion contracts has been ranked among the top 50 universities in China for two consecutive years, enabling the University to be selected as one of the top ten cases of China's industry-university-research cooperation in 2023. Moreover, it has hosted six high-level English and Chinese journals and held various industry brand conferences, such as the Asian Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technology. The University's innovative achievements marked by the theory and technology of nano-time grid precision displacement measurement have ranked top throughout the nation and the world. Among them, the nano-time grid technology achievements have been praised as "Chinese precision" by the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, etc., and appeared on the national "13th Five-Year Plan" Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievement Exhibition and the themed achievement exhibition on "Striving for a New Era".
