Chen Xu, Professor of School of Accounting of CQUT, is a member of Accounting Informatization Professional Committee of Accounting Society of China, the National Model Teacher, the Famous Teacher of Chongqing, the owner of “Teaching and Educating Award” of ordinary undergraduate universities of Chongqing, the Excellent Teacher of Chongqing, the Teaching and Educating Model of Chongqing, the “Most Beautiful Teacher” of Chongqing, the “May Day Women Model” of Chongqing Science, Education, Culture, Health and Sports System, and the model of Chongqing education system of professional ethics construction.

She is responsible for the work of National Quality Course, National Excellent Resource Sharing Course, and the first batch of the National First-class Undergraduate Course (Accounting Informatization Courses); she is in charge of the municipal teaching team of universities in Chongqing (the teaching team of Accounting Informatization Courses), and the teachers team of Huang Danian-style of universities in Chongqing (the teachers team of Accounting Informatization Courses); she presides over the Chongqing Teaching Masters Studio (Accounting Informatization); she takes charge of the first batch of New Liberal Arts Research and Reform Practice Projects (Curriculum Reform and Practice of Accounting Informatization under the Background of New Liberal Arts) of Ministry of Education; and she leads the first batch of Virtual Teaching and Research Office construction pilot (Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Accounting Informatization Course) of Ministry of Education.

For more than 30 years, she has been deeply rooted in CQUT, sticking to the teaching work and adhering to the education and teaching concept of “class is the foremost, education is the first”. Leaning down, she is the author of many articles and books; standing up, she has pupils everywhere and is the “Chen Mama” from the students' heart to mouth. In addition, she founded the teaching brand of “Accounting Informatization” which has a wide influence in China and cultivated it. She represents the banner of CQUT to deeply cultivate teaching and devote oneself to teaching reform and the “Great Master” who organically integrates “knowledge imparter” and “character builder”.

She made an innovation of educational concept, broke the tradition of IT ability training dominated by the application of accounting software, proposed a training concept for accounting talents which is oriented by the “technology of accounting data processing and Accounting Information System analysis and design ability”, and designed a three-level curriculum system of “basic level, technical level and comprehensive level”. In addition, she innovated the teaching model and developed a series of original teaching case database, which filled the gap in this field in China. She also reformed the teaching methods, initiated the stepped teaching method based on BEI, and implemented the diversified assessment methods based on BEI. She has made remarkable achievements in curriculum construction, teaching content and method reformation, teaching materials and experimental project construction. The curriculum system and teaching mode of Accounting Informatization created by her has an important influence on the higher education field of Accounting Informatization in China and is known as the “CQUT Model”. The series of textbooks compiled by her embodies years of hard exploration and reform practice, and is the most distinctive teaching books in this field. She won the first prize of Chongqing Teaching Achievement in 2017 and the second prize of National Teaching Achievement in 2018.
